About Hybrid AF Therapy

Hybrid AF™ Therapy combines two types of ablation. The goal of an ablation is to stop the atrial fibrillation, or to make the episodes shorter and less frequent. Hybrid AF Therapy is used to treat long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation by creating lesions inside (endocardial RF) and outside (epicardial) of the heart in an effort to stop the erratic electrical signals that cause atrial fibrillation. If you have a history of bleeding or a lifestyle, occupation or condition that puts you at risk for bleeding, ask your doctor about the WATCHMAN Implant.
